The Latest

Lately I have been in and out of the office. We had some damage in our church due to ice damming. The crew is here today, and we are getting ready for the first of two Christmas productions. I have been thinking.

Have you ever had the ridiculous idea that you were fit to do whatever was asked of you? Well maybe it comes with age, but I realize I can't do everything. There are certain things that fit me well, but others are a real struggle for me. Not only that but I don't have the gift mix for them. For instance I took a gifts assessment and scored "0" on Craftsmanship. For those who know me, that will come as no surprise. "What end of the hammer do you use?" Just kidding.

Here is what I have determined to do. I want to thank God for the gifts He has given to me, and use them to bless others. Maybe, then I can get somebody to fix this roof. Blessings

He Knows The Boundaries of My Life

God has never left anything to happenstance or chance. There are laws and boundaries in this world, and God is a God of order. I was reminded of this when I read in Proverbs 8:29 where it says "... when he gave the sea its boundary so the waters would not overstep his command." If God has the boundaries of water set, how much more is He interested in the boundaries in my life.

His plans are good for me, and it is when I submit my will to His that I experience the safeness of His boundaries.

Can't Take it With You

I know that we all are aware that someday we will leave behind what we have "earned". But how many of us still live like we can take it with us? In Psalms 39:6 it says "...he heaps up wealth, not knowing who will get it." (N.I.V.)

Our life is so short, let's invest what we have been given, not waste it.

Why Should I Vote?

If you haven't voted, you should do so. I found this from the League of Women Voters in Florida
http://www.lwvvc.org/Why-Should-I-Vote-English.pdf. Here are the reasons below:
WHY SHOULD I VOTE?
 To speak your mind
 To make politicians listen
 For your children
 For your community
 For yourself
 To honor history
 To control your future
 To stop something
 To start something
 To win
