Forgiveness

We as Christians all know how huge forgiveness is in our lives and the lives of others around us. I just read an article about the power of forgiveness in the lives of six perpetrators of violence during the years of apartheid in South Africa. I was amazed that a fact that is known in the church is now being discussed outside of the church. Here are three things that I want to share about the power of forgiveness.

• It can have the same effect on those who have offended as well as those who have been offended.

• Those who have received forgiveness are more likely to extend forgiveness to those closest to them.
• Those who have offered forgiveness are much happier and healthier people.

Those seem to be three great reasons to forgive the one who has done you wrong. How about you, will you choose to forgive today?
